Lime Employees Volunteer at 9/11 Day Meal Pack in New York City
On September 10, 2026, three members of the Lime Trading team volunteered as event support for the 9/11 Day Meal Pack at the Aircraft Carrier Intrepid in New York City.
After signing up through New York Cares, our employees helped welcome and direct participants and assisted with on-site operations as volunteers packed shelf-stable meals for New Yorkers facing food insecurity.
Honoring September 11 Through Service
Organized by the 9/11 Day organization, the meal pack was held in recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11th. The New York event took place over four days, from September 8 through September 11, with the goal of packing more than 3 million meals for New Yorkers.
It was also part of a nationwide service initiative. According to 9/11 Day, more than 50,000 volunteers were call on to participate in meal packs across more than 50 U.S. cities, with a collective goal of preparing 18 million meals for families facing hunger.
